We have arrived! So yesterday we packed our bags and walked out of our house for the last time. As Jesse and I drove out to the camp we both shared feelings of deep sadness at saying goodbye to the people we love the most! (which of course is all of you! :) But as we neared the camp we began to pray and excitement began to burn in our hearts. We were not dissapointed! When we arrived, long time friends of both mine and Jesse, Lance and Linda Duncalfe, were to be "mentors" of sorts for the week and our contact while we are way for the month. We pumped about all the people we have met here. There are three teams going out this summer; Peru, Kenya (that's us), and a Dance team to the UK.
We are blown away by the depth of character of the the young leaders out here and we are excited to learn all we can from everyone we meet here. Some have vast over seas experience and so Jesse and I are attempting to learn everything we can. If you don't know much about Venture Teams International, look them up. Perhaps one of there programs is right for you (that is one SHAMELESS plug! :)
We love you all and we miss you guys! Keep praying that God will teach us much and meet us intimately here at Discovery Lodge
